This Saturday, on October 5th, the Cross Country Team will have their second home meet, “The Big Z”. This is a very special meet for the school, due to what it represents for our history. “The Big Z” is named after Coach Bill Zimmer, who was a former principal, teacher, and coach here at Rensselaer. He worked here from 1985 – 2002 teaching science and serving as our Cross Country and Track coach.
This will be one of the Cross team’s largest meets, and includes many teams that they will be racing at sectionals. This will be one of the last meets for the non varsity runners. The Meet starts at 8am this Saturday and will go till around 10am. If your schedule is open, please consider going to support the Rensselaer Cross Country Team and honor Coach Zimmer
