Volleyball Hoosier Conference Recap

This past Saturday the Lady Bombers went and competed in the Hoosier Conference tournament hosted by Lafayette Central Catholic. The Lady Bombers started the morning with their first game beginning at 8am against West Lafayette; the first set WL won 25-14 and the second set 25-19. Later on in the afternoon, the Lady Bombers started their second game of the day against Twin Lakes; the first set Rensselaer won 25-17 and 25-21 second set. To end off the tournament Rensselaer went head to head with Western for 5th and 6th place of the whole tournament. The Lady Bombers prevailed and won in two sets; the scores being 25-17 and 25-16. This left the Lady Bombers with a 2-1 record for the day and 16-11 on the season so far.

In conclusion, the Lady Bombers had a very successful weekend and placed 5th. This is the highest placement our volleyball team has ever received in this tournament. The Lady Bombers next game will be Thursday 10/10 at Frontier High School.

Hello! My name is Brooklyn Bilyeu and I'm a senior at RCHS. I've been involved in Bomb Squad for 2 years and am super excited to be involved again this year. I enjoy playing and watching sports, especially volleyball. I have been a team captain for the volleyball team for the past 3 years and love finding ways to advertise all sports at RCHS. I am also involved in sunshine society, community service club, and BPA.
