Last night, November 7, 2024, the Rensselaer Lady Bomber volleyball team had their awards night after their incredible season. The Lady Bombers finished 19-13 and continued a winning record like last year. The JV/C team also had a winning record of 12-9. The season consisted of many accomplishments for the team as well as some players individually. The team finished 5th in the Hoosier Conference which is the highest our volleyball team has ever placed. In addition, team captain and varsity setter, Brooklyn Bilyeu, reached 1500 assists and 200 aces. Junior outside hitter, Kamri Rowland, reached 500 kills and Junior libero, Emily Louck, nearly reached 1000 digs with averaging 3.7 digs per set.

After asking Coach Eric Van Meter what he thought about the season this is what he said, “The season was very successful. We ended with back to back winning seasons after a 20 plus year of losing records. We finished the best we ever have in the Hoosier Conference in 5th place. The team that wins our sectional is playing for the state championship tomorrow.”
