Mrs. Garcia first decided she wanted to come to America, because she believes that “if you want to improve, you need to move out.” The program that allowed for her to come to America is Profesores Visitantes (visiting teachers), which is an exchange program between the US and Spain, which has been going on since 1986. She is from the island Tanerife. Her favorite thing about the Canary Islands is that, while the islands are very small, this makes it so that you can do all kinds of different activities during the day. Some of the differences between teaching here, and teaching in Spain are that in Spain, rather than the kids moving around the school, the teachers move while all the kids stay in one room. And, rather than a flex period, the students go outside and can spend time on patios on the school. They don’t have the same schedule every day, either. They have a foreign language only three times a week, and sports, music and art only twice. The main thing she likes the most at RCHS is the people. She says that we have a beautiful community with kind people, and that she is very lucky. Visit or say hi to her in her room, number 201!

Grace McCully, Team Member
Hey everyone. I am Grace, one of the team members with The Bomber Bunker. I look forward to being more involved with the school.
Outside of school, I am the oldest of five girls, two of which do sports, so I go to their games in my free time. I also enjoy drawing and reading. I am a big Arctic Monkeys fan.
